I’m very disappointed with the customer service I just received from @priceline - I booked a hotel through the “name your own price” service and it was advertised as “guaranteed pets allowed”. After my bid went through and my credit card was charged I called the hotel and found out they do not accept pets.
I called customer service, was put on hold, blah blah blah. I was annoyed but I didn’t get mad until the customer service rep tried to justify the company’s mistake by saying the hotel “allows pets but they have to be service animals”. I proceeded to tell her that pretty much any establishment would allow service animals in order to accommodate disabled persons so that is not an “amenity” as advertised. She continued to use this excuse and could only offer me a refund. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she told me there was no one above her I could speak with.
I guess people traveling with pets cannot actually use the “name your own price” service..unless they want to go through the hassle I just went through and end up with no hotel.
